500TB, 8 node storage cluster running Weka over a 400Gbps network. This project was a fully custom scratch built deployment designed for a client that needed a datacenter as close to NYC as possible without significant exposure to downtime or damage from potential future storm surge. I was responsible primarily for the network engineering and metrics components, but I also helped select the datacenter, deployed and configured all physical infrastructure including power supplies, routers, switches, servers, cabling, etc. This project was heavily focused on independent execution, but it also required intense collaboration with my stakeholder, the hardware vendor, datacenter staff and Weka's software installation team. For deliverable handoff, extensive documentation was provided along with comprehensive ansible-based Infrastructure-as-Code definitions tracked in a git repository.
