Created in 2017 by myself, my neighbor Seva, Zach and many others, Node 570 (aka Supernode 2) was the first NYC Mesh hub node. Now defunct, it was located atop a converted firehouse near the Metropolitan Avenue Bridge and connected to NYC Mesh core in Manhattan via a 3.75 mile / 750Mbps wireless link. At the time it offered CGNAT internet access, public v4 and v6 IP addresses (for members running web servers), as well as BGP and OSPF for peering with other hubs. More detail in my 2018 talk and slides.
